Alpha Kappa Psi – Upsilon Psi is a coed professional business fraternity at UC Davis.
As the Vice President of Marketing, I developed and maintained all creative branding, marketing, and advertising materials associated with our chapter. I also ensured that the brand identity of our fraternity is cohesive and consistent across all mediums, online and on campus.
FALL 2015 REBRAND
A major goal I had during my term was to rebrand our fraternity and create a more unified and recognizable organizational brand online and on campus. This included the creation and implementation of a new graphic standard, original logos, fonts, colors, design elements, and photo standards on all our marketing and advertising content.
Another part of the rebranding process included creating an inventory of original stock photos for marketing purposes. These photos were shot in collaboration with the chapter historian, and feature our 2015-16 active brothers.
Spring 2016 Rush
My primary job as the Vice President of Marketing was to run a biannual recruitment campaign. I developed the theme, “Create the Future”, to advertise the values and goals of the organization, and to attract likeminded students.
For this campaign, I created print flyers, web graphics, video graphics, t-shirts, and other online and print marketing collateral. Additionally, I organized a week long marketing campaign, which included social media blasts, in-person flyering, and classroom presentations. The marketing week led up to a four day recruitment drive, which included an information night, meet-the-brothers event and alumni networking seminar, bringing out a total of 120+ attendees.
